Kenisiotaping
Elastic tape is applied on the body to reduce pain and inflammation for various medical conditions. It is a elastic therapeutic tape made specifically to microscopically lift the skin and motivate the body to start healing naturally. It is non- restrictive and allows for full range of motion. Used extensively for all levels of athletes to reduce pain and improve performance.
Myfascial Decompression (Cupping)
Myofascial decompression or cupping is a therapy that helps treat musculoskeletal disorders by using suction to create negative pressure underneath the cup. Originally fire was used to create the suction, but more recently a simple pump is used. The negative pressure helps to decompress the area by lifting the skin and the layer of tissue underneath the skin, the fascia, up into the cup. This creates space for the underlying tight muscle to lay down and relax. Cupping also helps bring blood flow to the area in need. Blood carries important nutrients which help with tissue healing. Dynamic cupping is the addition of movement to the therapy. Movement can be in the form of sliding the cups over the necessary tissue or leaving the cups static while moving body parts.
Neurologic Dry Needling (NDN)
Neurologic Dry Needling (NDN) is the evolution from needling points (myofascial trigger points) to needling the system. NDN is utilized to treat all types of neuromusculoskeletal conditions. These conditions are not limited to orthopedics but are applicable to any condition where inflammation (neurogenic), reduced blood flow and muscle guarding is present. The NDN treatment system is based on peripheral and central neurologic principles, which is not limited by the traditional trigger point paradigm. Using the peripheral nerve mapping model allows a broader opportunity to deliver treatment locally, segmentally, and most importantly systemically.
