Meet the Doctors & Staff at IPM Roselle
Roselle chiropractor Dr. Eric Schouten is the clinic director and a treating physician at the IPM Roselle office.
He always has had the goal to use the science of chiropractic medicine that seeks to return patients to the highest possible degree of personal independence. He strives to implement corporate wellness programs to assist people of all ages in maintaining optimal health and physical fitness.
Dr. Eric values the ideal of treating as many people as he can using chiropractic and physical therapy without using drugs or surgery. He has been in practice since 1999 and born and raised in Elmhurst, Illinois. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history while attending Elmhurst College and continued on to the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois, where he graduated with a doctorate in chiropractic and Bachelor of Science in human biology.
Dr. Eric has been passionate about sports, and as a youth and young adult he played football, wrestled, ran marathons, and has been active in the treatment of athletes of all levels throughout his professional career. He has attended many post graduate seminars and is a certified kinesiotaping practitioner and is certified and licensed in acupuncture. His hobbies include spending time with his family, reading and Brazilian jiu jitsu.
Sara Carpenter is the Front Desk Manager at the IPM Roselle office.
Sara graduated with an associate's of Science in Health Information Technology from Indiana Institute of Technology in 2016. Prior to joining the IPM team, Sara worked many years in retail. She was also the billing coordinator and front office supervisor at a Sleep Disorders Center in Ohio.
Sara grew up in Roselle. She is currently studying to obtain her Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT) certification. In her free time, she enjoys reading, music, photography, and spending time with family, friends, and her Old English sheepdog.
Joshua Roberts is the Athletic Trainer at the IPM Roselle office.
Roselle Athletic Trainer Joshua Roberts, ATC graduated from Northern Illinois University (NIU) with his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training. While at NIU, Josh, was a student athletic trainer at Sycamore High School, Rock Valley College, and helped cover NIU football. After completing his college requirements he completed an internship with NFL Europe. Upon completing his internship, he came back to the Chicago suburbs to begin his career.
Since beginning his athletic training career he has work in the western suburbs and northern suburbs around Chicago. He has experience with grade school level athletes to professional athletes and rehabilitation of injuries from ankle sprains through hip replacements. His greatest interest is in the rehabilitation of ACL reconstructions and in March of 2012, he completed his certification for Sportsmetrics ACL Prevention course by Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Dr. Frank Noyes.
Josh lives in Wood Dale with his wife and three children. He enjoys spending time with his family and helping with his kid’s sporting events. He and his family are active in their church and enjoy doing outreach programs. He also enjoys running, soccer, and snowboarding.
