Meet the Doctors & Staff at IPM Joliet
New Lenox chiropractor Dr. Jon M. Polcyn is a co-owner, clinic director, and is a treating physician at the IPM Joliet office.
Dr. Jon received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in PreMed Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He obtained a second bachelors in Human Biology and Doctorate of Chiropractic from National University of Health Sciences located in Lombard, Illinois in 2005.
Dr. Jon has done done extensive postgraduate training in orthopedics, sports medicine, rehabilitation, kinesiotaping, soft-tissue mobilization and management. He is a firm believer in combining chiropractic and rehabilitation to provide rapid pain alleviation that also can be maintained by the patient long after in office care has ceased.
Dr. Jon is the acting team physician for the Plainfield Prowlers, Plainfield Saints, the Plainfield Athletic Club and the Illinois Hawks.
Dr. Jon is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys camping, hiking, boating, skiing, fishing, hunting, and just about any outdoor activities.
New Lenox chiropractor Dr. Scott J. Kenny is a co-owner and a treating physician at the IPM New Lenox office.
Dr. Scott received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology and a Chemistry minor from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. He then obtained his Doctorate of Chiropractic and second Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Biology from National University of Health Sciences located in Lombard, Illinois in 2004.
While attending Loras College, Dr. Scott was a member of a NCAA nationally ranked wrestling team. Since that time, and while practicing at a past clinic in Las Vegas, Nevada, he taught classes in Phlebotomy, Anatomy and Physiology, and Kinesiology.
He is the acting sports team physician for the Lincoln Way Patriots semi-professional football team, New Lenox Youth Football Association, the Celtic Elite youth wrestling team, the Lincoln Way Wrestling Club, and Ultimate Athletics South competitive cheerleading teams. Dr. Scott is listed on the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (ACBSP) Concussion Registry as a healthcare provider who has successfully completed the ACBSP Concussion Registry Course (Concussion Course) and is therefore qualified to evaluate, diagnose, and manage concussed individuals in any patient population.
Dr. Scott has also achieved post graduate certifications as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP), a National Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and as a Fellow, International Academy Medical Acupuncture (FIAMA). He has also taken courses in Kinesiotaping and he has started three year post graduate Diplomate programs in Sports and Orthopaedics.
His hobbies include nutrition, CrossFit, weight training, exercise, and wrestling.
Diane Robinson is a Board Certified Chiropractic Physician. She obtained her degree from the National College of Chiropractic and she served the Joliet area for over 16 years.
Dr. Robinson started her carrier in the veterinary field in Canada where she obtained her Bachelors Degree in Zoology. She was then recruited to work with chiropractors which resulted in her moving to the Chicago area and obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Human Biology before completing her Chiropractic Degree. She continues to strive for new ways to help her patients including in participating in the Strength and Conditioning certification and is a board eligible Chiropractic Neurologist and a certified Acupuncturist.
She has always had a strong desire to work in a multidisciplinary office, working hands on with other medical professions. She brings a neurological based approach and offers her patients several treatment options including traditional chiropractic care, acupuncture, physical therapy and rehabilitation. She views health care as multifaceted and recognizes the benefits that patients receive have when all areas of health are addressed.
Her focus on chiropractic is to not only help patients decrease their pain, but to also increase their function and ultimately increase the joy they experience in life. Her view is that life is too short to live it in pain!
She lives with her husband and two children among a variety of pets. She spends her time camping with the family, she is an avid gardener and has participated in numerous 300 mile bicycle rides for charity. She is active in her church and plays the bass guitar in the church band.
Heather Polcyn is the Office Manager at the IPM Joliet office. Heather graduated with a bachelor's of arts in Communications from North Central College in 2003. Heather has extensive experience in customer service, bookkeeping, marketing and management.
Heather loves to spend her extra time with her two sons Gavin and Hunter. Heather and Dr. Jon both love to travel, cook, attend concerts, off-road, hike, fish, boat and simple be with friends and family.
Heather currently manages all three IPM locations.
Annie Durbon is a Front Desk Manager at the Joliet office. Annie joined the IPM team in January of 2013 and worked in the New Lenox office as a Front Desk Patient Coordinator. Annie performs daily operations and administrative tasks. Annie is a graduate of Lincoln-Way Central High School in New Lenox. She is also a Certified Cardiology Technician.
Prior to joining the Integrated Physical Medicine team, Annie was a Rehabilitation and Marketing Assistant at a chiropractic office. After working in the chiropractic field for many years, Annie wants to pursue a career in natural medicine and educate others about a holistic lifestyle. She currently resides in Wilmington and manages Nelly's Restaurant part-time. In her spare time, Annie enjoys boating, four wheeling, traveling, and being adventurous.
Rachel Stukenberg is one of the highly trained Chiropractic Assistants at IPM Joliet. Rachel joined the team in November of 2016 and assists in all aspects of patient care including guiding patients through rehab program, physiotherapy techniques for pain management and tissue healing and documenting patients' evaluations and progress. . Rachel graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Art from the American Academy of Art of Chicago in 2013 has an extensive knowledge of human anatomy, sh hopes to go back to school one day to possibly pursue a masters in medical/scientific illustration.
Rachel spends her spare time painting and illustrating for various private individuals and companies. In the fall she loves working for Zombie Army Productions doing FX makeup and scenic painting. For physical activity she enjoys working out, long runs, and extreme mountain biking.
